Getting started on Kinderly is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

  1. To start your 30 day free trial, just go to our registration page. The registration page will request some basic information about your setting(s).
  2. You’ll be sent a log-in email to access your online dashboard. Once you’ve accessed your dashboard there are simple signposts to walk you through adding your first room, child and parent. If you’ve got lots of children and parents to upload we’ve created an easy to use csv uploader to make this process as painless as possible.
  3. Download the app to your Android device from Google Play or your Apple device from the iTunes Store. We recommend at least 1 tablet per class or room. Once you’ve completed these simple steps you are good to go! If you need any further help in getting started see our video for a step-by-step guide.

We have developed an easy to use CSV uploader which automatically and securely uploads your children’s data in one easy step. Your data needs to be in CSV file format. Use the example template and follow the instructions on your online dashboard and you’ll be up and running in no time.

Once you have the app on an Android tablet and have uploaded your children’s data, it is quick and easy to use but see our videos for more guidance on how to do everything from add observations and daily schedule updates, to how to use reporting functions.

We have lots of feedback from nursery managers and early years practitioners that our EYFS app makes it quicker and easier for them to meet all their requirements, saving them time, which they get back to spend with children. All instances of the app require a passcode to gain access, so any data held will remain secure. Should any device be lost or suspected of being lost we recommend you go into your online dashboard and make that device inactive immediately.

We recommend keeping your device up-to-date with software updates, as it enhances security.

You can access the admin dashboard with any device that runs a modern web browser.

On desktop, we recommend that you use a modern browser - by this we mean Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge at their current versions.

On Android, you can use any modern browser as long as it is kept up to date (please note that Opera Mini may not be supported).

On iPhone and iPad, we recommend using Safari and having an up-to-date version of iOS.

We recommend having at least one tablet per room, so that those precious moments and daily miracles don’t get missed! If you need any advice regarding devices please contact us.

We appreciate that some nurseries may not have access to WiFi in the classroom. We have designed the app so it can be used offline. However, you will need to connect to WiFi in order to sync all your observations with the cloud and online dashboard.

We have a great online Help Centre, containing tutorials that explain each section in detail with screenshots. We are continually adding articles to the Help Centre to make sure you get all the help you need.
