CPD, or ‘continuing professional development’, is a lifelong process of learning. It’s about aiming for continuous improvement in your knowledge and skills as an early years practitioner, beyond the basic training you did at the start of your career.

CPD in early years education can be carried out in a number of ways – through face-to-face training, online training, webinars, reading magazines or blogs, or sharing good practice through a local childminding or early years group.

Kinderly Learn is unique in that it allows you to do flexible CPD, at a time and place that suits you.

Q.

PACEY recommend practitioners undertake a minimum of 15 hours of relevant training or CPD a year.

There are 100s of learning bites and dozens of on-demand webinars on Kinderly Learn to cover this requirement, but of course, you can supplement it with other types of training as needed.

No – as a Kinderly Learn member your subscription includes weekly webinars!

We offer two types of webinar: Our introductory webinars last for 60 minutes, and our more in-depth webinars last 90 mins.

The former allow the presenters time to go into more detail on their topic, and also for you to ask more questions!

Q.

Yes! Although you won't be able to speak whilst attending a webinar, you can ask questions by typing them in the chat. We try and answer as many questions as we can in the time available.

Each week we carefully monitor what topics/issues our members would like training on. This results in a very diverse programme. Last year, we ran webinars on everything - wellbeing, SEND / autism, policy, pedagogy, all types of play, maths / STEM, behaviour, transitions, equality - to name but a few!

Q.
A.

No - we only offer certificates to Kinderly Learn members. But a subscription is only £10 for 4-5 webinars every month. That's only a couple of pounds per webinar!

Yes – badges are awarded when you complete a whole pathway of courses and there are currently over 30 badges you can work towards!

Named, CPD-accredited certificates are presented for attending live webinars, as well as when you watch them on demand.
