Dr Sue Allingham – Physical Development is not just about PE sessions

As many children are entering a setting or school for the first time this month they will be getting used to a whole new set of expectations and ‘rules’. How often do we reflect on the fact that so many of these rules and expectations anticipate that all the children are physically ready to manage them? This early childhood training session will encourage you to review your practice and provision to enable everyone to feel physically comfortable.

About the speaker
Dr Sue Allingham started her career as a teacher and an Early Years Lead before becoming a Local Authority Early Years Adviser. Moving into research, Sue gained an MA then a Doctorate, both in Early Childhood Education. She is now an Independent Consultant, Author and Trainer, with publications on Transitions in the Early Years and Emotional Literacy in the Early Years.
