In this webinar outdoor learning advocate Janet Packer looks at children’s experiences with mud, in particular the mud kitchen, and how this amazing natural ingredient can be seen to nurture health and wellbeing and support all areas of development and learning.

The aims of the session are:

  • To explore all the good things that come from children playing in mud and identify some key messages to take away
  • To hone in on the value of the ‘mud kitchen’
  • To use Growing Wild Outdoor Nursery as a case study to illustrate the important role of mud in everyday practice at my setting
