Tamsin Grimmer – Is sharing always caring? Exploring caring and empathy in young children

Sharing is a skill we often expect our youngest children to have. Phrases like ‘sharing is caring’ are used to help promote this. In this webinar, Tamsin will explore from a developmental perspective the idea of learning to share and how this links with developing social competence and empathy. She will challenge the idea that young children will naturally know how to share with others and offer ideas of how we can promote this prosocial behaviour.

Tamsin Grimmer is a director of Linden Learning, an associate of Early Education, principal lecturer at Norland College and an Emotion Coaching Practitioner for Emotion Coaching UK. She has a wealth of experience supporting Early Years Teachers and educators. She is passionate about young children’s learning and has written several books aimed at educators and is a true advocate for adopting a loving pedagogy.
