£5In this webinar, early years safeguarding expert Ann Marie Christian will be exploring what good practice in safeguarding is within the early years sector.
We have a legal duty to keep children safe and must comply with the law at all times. In this webinar we reflect on the safeguarding challenges we face when working with babies, toddlers and infants. Their communication is limited and we rely on behaviours and other clues to recognise when they are subject to harm.
In the 1 hour session, you will gain:
- An understanding of safeguarding compliance
- Clarity about the role of the named designated safeguarding lead, staff and governance
- Guidance on how to create a proactive approach to safeguarding
- An introduction to Professional Curiosity and Cultural Competence.
About the speaker
Ann Marie Christian is an independent safeguarding consultant. She is a social worker of 24 years and has managed a 0-5 child protection team, a youth justice team and an education in safeguarding team. Ann Marie has contributed articles on child protection to Nursery world Magazine and spoken at the Nursery World Show.
