Many settings are choosing to incorporate heuristic play into their provision, as a way of enhancing children’s play. This is when everyday objects and resources are used rather than toys to engage children and tap into their curiosity. Children are given the opportunity to explore, investigate and discover by interacting with these objects and resources independently.
