Tamsin Grimmer – Using treasure baskets and heuristic play with babies and young children
Wednesday 14th Dec 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeMany settings are choosing to incorporate heuristic play into their provision, as a way of enhancing children’s play. This is when everyday objects and resources are used rather than toys to engage children and tap into their curiosity. Children are given the opportunity to explore, investigate and discover by interacting with these objects and resources independently. During this webinar early years consultant, Tamsin Grimmer and Early Years Practice Lead from Charlton Nursery and Amy Gordon, will both explain the rationale of using treasure baskets and heuristic play and share some wonderful examples from practice.
